On Sunday we headed to Rockingham Motor Speedway to check out the drift practice day that was being held there. In particular, we wanted to see James Tooley‘s Rocket Bunny-kitted S15 in action. James may run a set of Yabaking Spoke 2-Piece wheels for everyday driving but we have just supplied him with a bunch of Yabaking 1-Piece wheels for drifting use.
While Yabaking Spoke & Mesh 2-Piece wheels can be custom made with pretty much any offset and colour finish you want, the downside of this is that they can sometimes take a little while to be manufactured for you. In a sport such as drifting that can often see wheels getting damaged through crashes and collisions with other drivers, an easy to replace (and more affordable) wheel is preferable.
This is where the Yabaking 1-Piece comes in. It still bears all of 326POWER’s trademark design cues but in a more affordable and readily available package when compared to its 2-Piece siblings.
James’ Yabakings measure 18×9.5J-2 and 18×10.5J-5 at the front and rear (respectively) while some spacers have been added to fill the Rocket Bunny arches accordingly. They are finished in GT Silver and fit snugly around the giant Alcon brakes.
We’ll be doing a proper photo shoot with James’ S15 very soon so stay tuned for more pictures,
